Mode of Selection, Scheme of Examination & Syllabus
A. Mode of Selection
Candidates will be selected based on a written examination and a proficiency test (Typing/Stenography), depending on the post applied for.
B. Syllabus & Exam Pattern for Jr. Secretariat Assistant
- Mode of Examination: OMR-based or Computer-Based Multiple-Choice Questions
- Total Questions: 200
- Total Time: 2 hours 30 minutes
- Medium of Questions: English and Hindi (except for the English Language section)

D. Proficiency Test in Stenography
- Candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in either English or Hindi at a speed of 80 w.p.m.
- Transcription Time:
- English: 50 minutes
- Hindi: 65 minutes
Methodology for Resolution of Tie Cases
In case two or more candidates score the same marks in the exam, tie-breaking will be done in the following order:
- Candidates with fewer negative marks will be ranked higher.
- Older candidates (by Date of Birth) will be ranked higher.
- Candidates who acquired the required qualification earlier will be preferred.
- If the tie still persists, the alphabetical order of the candidate’s first name will be considered.

- Citizenship: Only Indian nationals can apply.
