Eligibility Criteria for UPPSC PCS Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services

Age Limit	21 to 40 years as of July 1, 2025 (Born between 2nd July 1985 and 1st July 2004). Age relaxation applies for reserved categories.

How to Apply

Candidates must complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) before applying for the exam. The application involves the following steps:

Obtain an OTR Number from OTR Website (if not already obtained).
Submit the online application at UPPSC Website.
Fill in the required personal and educational details.
Pay the application fee using SBI MOPS (Net Banking, Card Payments, or Other Modes).
Print and save a copy of the submitted application.

Reservation & Age Relaxation

Reservation is applicable only to candidates who are permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh. Candidates from other states will be considered in the Unreserved (General) category.

Age Relaxation Criteria

SC/ST/OBC of UP: 5 years (Up to 45 years)
PWD Candidates: 15 years (Up to 55 years)
Ex-Servicemen: 3 years + Service Period
Government Employees of UP: 5 years

Selection Process

The UPPSC 2025 examination process consists of three stages:

Preliminary Examination – Objective type test (Multiple Choice Questions)
Main Examination – Written test
Interview – Final selection round for certain posts

UPPSC Exam Pattern

Preliminary Examination

The preliminary exam consists of two papers, both objective type.

Final selection is based on Main Exam + Interview scores.

Candidates applying for posts such as DSP, Jail Superintendent, Excise Inspector, Deputy Jailor, Assistant Forest Conservator, and Range Forest Officer must meet the physical measurement standards.
